Dr. Janis Hammer

Associate Director

Dr. Hammer has long been a staunch advocate of animal assisted therapy, serving as Director of Animal Assisted Therapy & Activities at DVC and as a trainer and evaluator for the Delta Society. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Hammer worked in the biomedical field and in laboratory animal science. In addition to teaching, she currently practices small animal medicine at her clinic in Oregon.
