Karen Lasker

Karen Lasker completed our Animal Assisted Therapy program in the winter of 2008. She is now the Executive Director of The Brody Project for Animal Assisted Therapy, located in southwest Florida.

When Karen registered for classes with ABI based on a recommendation from a friend, she was pleasantly surprised at the accessibility of the teachers. She didn’t expect that from an online school. She was also pleased that the major professor in her program of choice, AAT, had a great deal of personal experience in the field. Karen said that her professor directed her to a phenomenal array of resources – from research on the subject to practical application information. Not surprisingly, Karen’s favorite course was Animal Assisted Therapy.

When Karen isn’t busy at the job she loves, she spends time going to the beach, kayaking, and doing agility training with her dog.
