Cherie Beattie

Professor of Animal Science

Professor Beattie received her certification from the  Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers while working as the Behavior Manager at the Kentucky Humane Society.  There she established a new dog training program to make shelter dogs more adoptable.  She currently runs her own dog training business, teaches as an online instructor for the University of Louisville, and has been a committee member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. She regularly contributes articles on dog behavior to several professional newsletters and magazines.
